How to Find a Website's Traffic

It is always a great surprise to them when I show a website owner how they can find a website's traffic in a very simplified, quick and easy to understand way. The old kiss principle works again (keep it simple stupid!), although they are not stupid, they just didn't have access to the information on how to do it, until now, that is.

That's why I hate those books 'the dummies guide to...", why call someone a dummy if all they are guilty of is a lack of knowledge, which can be quickly rectified? Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox long enough to tell you how and where to find it.

To find a websites traffic, the first thing we need to look at is where do people go to look for information. Where did you go to read this article? That's a clue! Now if people go to article sites in search of information, chances are that they (if they like what they read) might just click through to the authors website, follow me so far?

Now, just suppose that instead of just reading articles, you decided to write a few, on what ever topic, but I'm sure there is something you have some good knowledge of that no one else knows, or you think they should know about an opinion of yours. By offering help to others in a non biased fashion, you are setting yourself up to become 'the expert'.

The truth is in reality, that you don't have to find a website's traffic at all. In actual fact, if you continue to write a steady list of articles about your preferred topic or website etc, then all of that traffic will find its way to your website and that's a fact.
